1st-grade student brings knife to school in Shaler
SHALER TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Shaler School District officials are investigating after a first-grade student allegedly brought a knife to school.
The district's superintendent told reporter Alan Jennings that the student brought the knife to school on Wednesday. School officials were alerted, and the knife was taken from the student.
The district has a no tolerance policy, and the child could face expulsion, officials said.
One parent told Channel 11 News that the student threatened to kill her daughter. However, school officials have not confirmed the information.
